A SHORT STORYTELLING A LIE

It has been 4 years since Mother Nature’s enthralling awakening of kokorokoko of the wanderers’ foretold destiny. This time the wandering Sagoys were fulfilling yet another imminent prophecy; a prophecy of immense adventure, chilly intense pleasure and tummy pounding adversity. This is the story of how these wanderers hustled treacherous steeps, defy forces of nature, effortlessly endeavored language barriers, threw up, shitted on random targets and conquered Luzon’s most infamous peak.  This is the SAPULAGOY series.

CHAPTER I

The Mystical Whispers of the Mountains

On the night of May 2^nd, 2013, while everything else was contained by the hushing cold night, a momentous gathering of the wanderers took place by the shoulder of the serene Mt. Kanlaon. It was a celebration to express their gratitude to the endowing mother for another year of their socialite existence. Gathered around the fire, all heard were stories, laughs and giggles. Until a gaseous blast broke and banged the serenity of the mountain. It was but her majesty after all. The enchanted sabaw init fairy revealed her might from the elixir’s bottle and forcefully possessed the alluring mortal form of kokorokoko. Bewitched by her majesty’s presence the wanderers gazed as she enlightened them with these words: “Oh mischievous wanderers of the scorched land. For thy chaste valiance brought thy feet to my kingdom. It is only fair, that I shall bestow upon thee the privilege of a glimpse of thy odds.”On that very moment a new prophecy was revealed before them. And on their shoulders were rested a responsibility all of them were bound to fulfill. And it was also then that the queen of the enchanted Mount Pulag expressed her longing for the wanderers to visit her mighty realm, softly whispering these mystifying words: “On the day when the children of the pearl rise above the drowning seas and the horns of the bull slit his own covers, soldiers will shepherd thee to the land of White Sea.”

The ever glamorous wanderers confidently accepted their fate and gathered all their strength and resources at once. They acquire all classy gears they can find both locally and superlocally, spending all their riches and fortunes thinking their arrival at the mystical realm would be a red carpet one. And for hundreds of dusks and dawns they waited for the right moment when a flock of steel winged eagles flies north. And on June 9, 2014, just as they thought the odds will never be in their favor, steel winged eagles started appearing in the sky and their long awaited epic journey began.
